For some reason End Gateways now render properly with shaders on, which is either to do with Optifine or the fact that I'm playing on a more powerful computer.

I hate the End Gateway beams. They look like ass and you can't turn them off.

Edit: you can sort of, by fiddling with command parameters while placing them.
